ASEZ Hempstead Lake State Park Cleanup

On October 27, ASEZ students from SUNY College of Old Westbury, Nassau Community College (NCC), NYIT, Hofstra University and Adelphi University joined forces to revitalize Hempstead Lake State Park. Carrying out yet another Reduce Crime Together cleanup, the student volunteers were able to remove 26 bags of litter from the area—revamping a major space for the community of West Hempstead.

ASEZ Granite Street Cleanup

On October 27, ASEZ volunteers from New Hampshire and Massachusetts joined together to clean Granite Street Bridge in Manchester, NH as part of their Reduce Crime Together initiative. The Mayor of the City of Manchester Joyce Craig attended to show her support for the volunteers’ efforts. In unity, the volunteers removed more than 400 pounds of trash, leaving a more pleasant space for the residents of Hillsborough County.

ASEZ DIY Reusable Bag Event at the University of Pittsburgh

ASEZ volunteers hosted an educational DIY reusable bag making event at the University of Pittsburgh to promote recycling and sustainable practices among their peers. Students showed their creativity while saving the planet, one bag at a time. To read more, click here.

On August 18, ASEZ volunteers from various colleges and universities in the Bronx and Staten Island joined together to clean Randall Avenue in the Bronx, NY. Together with Assemblywoman Karines Reyes, the volunteers collected over 400 bags of trash.

The Church of God Orchestra and New Jerusalem Choir performed at the Lincoln Center for ASEZ’s Working Together for World Peace concert. During the concert, on behalf of the NYS Assembly, Assemblyman Nader Sayegh presented a citation to ASEZ in recognition of their outstanding volunteerism.

Around 70 ASEZ volunteers held a Mt. Pleasant Park cleanup in Baltimore, MD as part of their Reduce Crime Together campaign. Together, they removed 80 bags of debris and clipped back branches and vines.
