Q: What is the meaning of “God the Mother”?
A: The meaning of God the Mother can be explained through all living organisms (Ro 1:19-20). For all living beings, it’s natural to have a mother. All people have received life from their mom. This applies not only to humans but also to animals, birds, fish, plants, and everything that is considered living. This is God’s will physically as well as spiritually.
The Bible teaches us that God is our Father and we are His children (2Co 6:18). And for there to be a father and children, there must be a mother.
“But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.”
In addition to God the Father, the Bible says we also have God the Mother. Mother gives life and completes our heavenly family. That’s why the Bible closes with a call from the Spirit and Bride—Father and Mother—calling us to come and receive eternal life (Rev 22:17).
