ASEZ Hempstead Lake State Park Cleanup

ASEZ students hosted a cleanup at Hempstead Lake State Park on Long Island, NY. Volunteers cleaned along the shoreline as part of their Reduce Crime Together campaign. Around 30 students from SUNY College of Old Westbury, Nassau Community College (NCC), NYIT, Hofstra University, and Adelphi University joined for the day. In the end, students collected over 20 bags of litter from the park. Now, residents can use the area for fishing, hiking, biking, and running.

ASEZ Crime Prevention Forum in Virginia

ASEZ hosted the Crime Prevention Forum in Newport News, VA. Local law enforcement officials and other speakers of various professional backgrounds spoke about the importance of working together to reduce crime.
