Reduce Crime Together

Based on the Broken Windows Theory, ASEZ’s Reduce Crime Together campaign aims to create clean and safe communities through cleanups and graffiti removal events. Research has shown that eliminating visible signs of disorder, such as litter, detracts crime and increases community cooperation. With this in mind, university students all throughout the East Coast clean, revamp and beautify community spaces on and around their campuses. They also host crime prevention, such as Human-Trafficking prevention, forums. These forums bring together students, community members and leaders to discuss how everyone can play a part in ensuring the safety of their neighborhoods.

Recognizing ASEZ’s positive impact on their communities, thousands of local and high-level officials and dignitaries have expressed their support by signing MOUs and agreements of understanding.
