In Long Island, home to the first lighthouse in the state of New York, the Church of God is like a beacon of light, not only sharing God’s word and love but also working to create a safe, clean and sustainable environment for neighbors. The Church is located in Floral Park, a suburban retreat from New York City, which is only forty minutes away.
However, despite its warm and comfortable atmosphere, both the ASEZ university student volunteers and ASEZ WAO young professionals are a spark of energy, setting a good example for their classmates and coworkers by regularly carrying out cleanups and environmental projects on their campuses, workplaces and communities.

Volunteers from ASEZ WAO partner with the Hicksville Parks Department to beautify Kennedy Memorial Park and preserve their environment. ASEZ WAO launched the project as part of their Take Action Project to help save the earth.
About 120 ASEZ volunteers continued their “Mother’s Street” campaign and “Reduce Crime Together” initiative at Hempstead Lake State Park.
Volunteers celebrated the Church of God’s seventh year anniversary of restoring the coastline of Jamaica Bay by removing several thousand pounds of debris on Earth Day.
More than 300 Church of God volunteers participate in a beach cleanup at Breezy Point, Queens, NY to restore the marine environment of New York Harbor.
