Brooklyn

Geographically larger than the borough of Manhattan, Brooklyn prides itself for its creativity, arts and cultural institutions and unique creations.

Here, ASEZ university students and ASEZ WAO young professionals are taking the lead in creating a safer and more sustainable future through tree stewardships and most recently, a Take Action to Reduce Plastic Seminar at the Office of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. Among the speakers were, United Nations’ Xin Feng, Council Member Antonio Reynoso, Deputy Strategist for the Brooklyn Borough President Rachel Atcheson and Columbia University Professor Dr. Kartik Chandran. At the end of the event, the Brooklyn Borough president not only issued ASEZ WAO a proclamation but also declared December 5 “ASEZ WAO Day” in Brooklyn.

In this way, Church of God members are making efforts to not only raise awareness about local and global matters but also unite their communities to take action.
