The Church of God concerns for the health and well-being of our planet and makes efforts to help protect the environment. Pollution and climate change are among the many challenges that put our planet in jeopardy. Because human beings are the cause of these issues, we can also be the solution.
Volunteers organize activities, such as environmental cleanups and tree plantings, to promote a clean environment. Through forums and tabling events, they share information and educate their neighbors on the negative effects that pollution and climate change have on the environment and demonstrate sustainable changes everyone can make to combat these global issues.

Haverstraw Beach State Park Cleanup by ASEZ WAO
About 70 ASEZ WAO volunteers removed trash and invasive plants from Haverstraw Beach State Park. New York State Senators David Carlucci and James Skoufis attended to support the volunteers in their effort.

“Mother’s Street” Cleanup in Newburgh
About 200 ASEZ volunteers clean up three streets in Newburgh, gathering a total of 50 bags of trash along with hundreds of pounds of abandoned objects.

Roger Williams Park Cleanup in Rhode Island
Around 50 ASEZ student volunteers cleaned up Roger Williams National Memorial Park in Rhode Island. They collected 150 bags of leaves and trash!
