Virginia

In Virginia, a historically rich state known as “the birthplace of a nation,” the Church of God is very involved in the community from Bible studies and family-friendly events to appreciation banquets and volunteer services.

When a flood struck West Virginia in 2016, more than 260 volunteers spent their Independence Day weekend going door-to-door to help residents by removing mud, debris, water-damaged sheetrock and other materials from their homes.

Now, ASEZ university students from the Church of God are taking the lead in creating a safe Virginia by cleaning and beautifying their neighborhoods and hosting community discussions, such as crime prevention forums. So much so, that they were introduced on the Senate Floor by Senator Mamie Locke, who previously volunteerd with them.
