The Church of God in Kentucky Hosts Blood Drive in Middletown

The Church of God in Kentucky partnered with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive in Middletown. The event brought together volunteers, local leaders, and community members to donate blood and support patients in need. This marked the 1,762nd blood drive hosted by the Church of God worldwide.

The drive collected 37 pints of blood, which could help save up to 111 lives. These donations will support local hospitals during a time of limited blood supply. Volunteers included families, first-time donors, and returning participants, showing strong community involvement. By working with the American Red Cross, the Church of God raised awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations.

Recognition from Local Leaders

Senator Julie Adams thanked the World Mission Society Church of God for its commitment to community outreach. Councilwoman Marlyn Parker presented a Letter of Appreciation honoring the volunteers’ dedication and positive impact on the community.

“This blood drive is a powerful example of people caring for one another in a real, tangible way,” said State Representative Nemes. “You’re preaching the gospel with your words, and more importantly, with your actions.”

Councilman Winkler added, “Your volunteerism sets an example for all of us—whether it’s blood drives, cleanups across the city, or disaster relief, it’s fantastic work.”

Community Comes Together

Volunteers of all kinds came out for the blood drive. Families donated together, some people gave for the first time, and others returned to help again. Everyone worked alongside each other, chatting, encouraging one another, and making the process smooth and welcoming. By the end of the day, 37 pints of blood had been collected, enough to help more than 100 patients at local hospitals.
