Newport News

Newport News is the fourth largest city in the State of Virginia and houses one of the largest public parks in the United States, as well as the largest maritime museums in the world. It is also home to one of the many temples of the Church of God on the East Coast.

The Church of God in Newport News opens its doors for the community to participate in Bible seminars and family events, including national day celebrations, ping-pong tournaments, paint nights and even mommy-and-me museum field trips to promote unity in the family.

The ASEZ university students are also taking the lead in creating a safe and united Virginia. In 2019, more than 90 guests participated in their Crime Prevention Forum, which brought together community members and leaders to discuss how, together, they can create safe and peaceful communities. Speakers included Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew, Newport News Sheriff Gabriel Morgan, Professor Daniel Warman of Norfolk State University, and the locally well-known attorney Jeffrey Riddle.
