New York State is one of the most populous states in the U.S. and home to the city known as the cultural, financial and media capital of the world.
With Church of God locations in all five boroughs of New York City as well as in all of the State’s most populous cities including Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, members continously share the love of God with all residents of the Empire State. Whether it’s through volunteerism or engaging in Bible studies or family events, Church of God members are active in every corner of the State.
Church of God volunteers were pivotal in the relief efforts in the Rockaways in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. They are also known for caring for Jamaica Bay’s ecosystem through cleanups over the past decade. Members also host numerous performing arts events to help raise awareness on various issues including the Working Together for World Peace Concert at Lincoln Center, which featured notable speakers such as NYC Councilman Peter Koo and New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh.
Members of the Church of God in New York are passionate about helping their communities and putting the words of God into practice through good deeds. ASEZ university students of the Church of God in Albany hosted a tabling event at the State Capitol to raise awareness about the ASEZ Reduce Crime Together campaign and foster relationships with local government officials who can implement environmental protection actionplans. State officials were so impressed with the work of the students that they introduced the group of volunteers before the New York State Assembly at the Assembly Chambers and at the New York State Senate Session.
