Wrigley Park Volunteer Cleanup and Painting Service by ASEZ
ASEZ volunteers from various universities and community colleges held a cleanup at the Wrigley Park neighborhood of Paterson, NJ. They removed a total of 50 bags of trash.
The City of Paterson, known as the “Silk City” during the late 19th century, is the third largest in New Jersey’s Passaic County.
ASEZ volunteers have had an impact in Paterson through their positive can-do attitudes at environmental cleanups. Not only have they beautified their neighborhoods by removing graffiti and restoring community areas but also ASEZ’s notable Robert Clemente Park Cleanup mustered support from Mayor André Sayegh, District Manager Orlando Cruz of Paterson’s Special Improvement District and local residents.
More than 150 volunteers, including ASEZ university students from throughout New Jersey and other community groups, joined hands to create a safe and pleasant environment for the residents of Paterson. Altogether, they collected nearly 500 bags of trash!

ASEZ volunteers, joined by Eastside High School JROTC students and the local Paterson Green Team, removed 500 bags of trash from Roberto Clemente Park in Paterson, New Jersey.
About 1,200 church members became part of a certified community emergency response team (CERT) after attending a daylong training program in Bergen County, NJ.
The Metlife Stadium parking lot was as lively as a pregame tailgate as 200 Church of God donors came in their signature yellow shirts to donate blood at the Super Bowl Mega Blood Drive.
Members came out to serve seniors at the Bergen County Senior Picnic in Paramus, NJ where Governor Christie thanked them for their community service work after Hurricane Sandy.
Volunteers spent days assisting residents in the northern New Jersey town of Pompton Lakes who were in desperate need of help after the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Irene.
Church volunteers participated in the 10th Annual North New Jersey Walk Now for Autism Speaks, helping out with event registration and games for children.
