Hold Hope Campaign Brings Relief to Families in Dominica

On World Food Day, the Hold Hope Campaign, part of the Church of God’s Global Hope Challenge, took place in several communities across Dominica. Volunteers, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy, delivered food packages to families in need. These packages included essentials such as rice, eggs, beans, lentils, sugar, pasta, tuna, sardines, mackerel, vegetables, and cooking oil.

The campaign provided relief to families and supported small-scale farmers and local producers, promoting sustainable agriculture and resilience within the local food system. As part of the Church’s Global Hope Challenge, this initiative contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing poverty, hunger, education, climate response, and health.

Volunteers visited homes and delivered the food packages directly to families. They spoke with residents, shared instructions for cooking, and answered questions about the supplies. Families expressed gratitude, smiled, and thanked the volunteers.

Neighbors and community members joined to carry packages, help organize deliveries, and guide volunteers to households. People exchanged greetings, encouraged one another, and worked together to complete the distribution efficiently.
