Heavenly Jerusalem, Our Mother
“‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. ... I will be their God and they will be my children.’”
Revelation 21:6–7
Throughout the Old and New testaments, the Bible teaches us that only God can grant water of life to His people. That’s because the water of life represents eternal life.
“On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, ‘Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.’”
John 7:37
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ ... take the free gift of the water of life.”
Revelation 22:17
“One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.’ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God.
Revelation 21:9
The bride, the wife of the Lamb, is described as the Heavenly Jerusalem. The Bible explains in the book of John that Jesus is the Lamb (Jn 1:29). In the same way, the Bible lets us know who the Jerusalem above is.
“But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.”
Galatians 4:26
Apostle Paul testified to the members of the Early Church about Jerusalem Mother. He explained to them that She was in Heaven. However, in the book of Revelation, which represents our time, Jerusalem Mother has come to Earth to offer all people the water of life—eternal life. Without going to Jerusalem Mother, there is no other way to receive the water of life in the last days.
